Allen Street Dress Shop / February First Friday featuring Jillian Burton:

Join in welcoming Jillian Burton as our featured First Friday artist at the Allen Street Dress Shop! Wine and light refreshments will be served.

“Buffalo based visual artist, Jillian Burton, is using the female form to explore the concepts of intimacy, vulnerability, and bodily autonomy.

Portraying the female form in an honest and candid state, Burton attempts to draw attention to and challenge the normative ideals of feminine passivity in order to humanize the nude female.

With the pairing of traditionally feminine color pallets and unconventional figurative representations, she achieves a playful yet sincere balance in her work.

Bold and imperfect, she is creating art that women can relate to.”

Pine Apple Company / Love Notes: A Group Show:

Once again it’s time for our annual February group show, Love Notes! Local artists show their love/anti love themed artwork to display on our gallery wall for the month of February! The opening for the show will be Friday February 7th, in conjunction with Allentown First Friday Gallery Walk.
