In autumn 2023 Allentown, as Buffalo’s first residential historic district and entertainment destination, will be 65 years old. The famed Allentown Art Festival drew more than 250,000 attendees in June, and soon a five-year initiative to re-imagine and re-construct Allen Street will be completed. It’s a perfect time to celebrate Allentown’s story: the neighborhood’s storied past and hopeful future.
