The lovely Queen Anne style home on Arlington Park had several owners in its early history. In the 1880s the home was owned by Augustine B. Fowler, a
salesman. An 1883 Buffalo Address Book lists E. C. Heeb as owning this house. An 1887 edition of the Buffalo Address Book lists O. L. Harries as living here. Still, another source reports Charles Almy as living here.
If the house had its share of owners in the 19th century, it made up for it by having a single family reside here for many years in the 20th. Severn M., his family along with his sister Ruth C. Percival lived here for many years. Ruth C. Percival moved in Arlington Park in the 1930s and stayed until her death in 1989 at age 90. She lived with her father George Edward Percial first at 52 Arlington Place and later lived at this home. Ruth was the niece of architect Charles Ruben Percival who designed many homes in Allentown including 163 College Street at the head of Arlington Park. For a biographical notes on George, Severn and Ruth Percival, refer to the entry of 163 College Street in this chapter.
