BPO YOUTH CONCERTS REACH RECORD HIGH ATTENDANCE NUMBERS

August 10, 2010: Buffalo, N.Y. – The 2009-2010 Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Youth Concert Series reached record high attendance numbers this season, serving 33,563 students in Western New York, an increase of 10,000 students in four years, 5,000 this year alone.

“The key to the dynamic growth this year was an expanded partnership led by Robin Parkinson, BPO Director of Education and driven by the vision of Dr. James Williams, Superintendent of Buffalo Public Schools.” said Dan Hart, Executive Director.

“This year, nearly 15,000 BPS students experienced a live, classical concert performed by the BPO thanks to this strong
partnership.”
