First Friday Gallery Tour will include dance presentation June 4Foklloric Productions Dance Co. will present Movement Inspirations, a medley of traditional celebratory Middle Eastern Dances and Ritual by Cathy Skora at 8 p.m. June 4 in a tribute to the photographic documentary exhibited at El Museo, 91 Allen St.
The exhibit is A Yemeni Community: Photographs from the 1970s b y Milton Rogovin, taken in Lackawanna, N.Y., when it was a bustling steel town with a small but unique community of immigrants from Yemen.
The exhibit and the performance will be part of the First Fridays Tour of galleries in Allentown on the evening of June 4. This is the first of several planned collaborations between El Museo and Folkloric Productions Dance Co.
