Allentown Association Opposes Proposed Buffalo CasinoThe Allentown Association
is opposed to any casino locating and operating in the city of Buffalo. For over forty years, the
Allentown Association has proudly dedicated itself to advocating for one
of Buffalo’s most celebrated residential and commercial historic
districts. The purpose of the Association is to serve the Allentown
community, and we honor our mission by promoting appropriate business
development, fighting crime, and protecting and enhancing Allentown’s
unique urban ambiance.
In response to our
mission, the Association is against casino gambling in the city of
Buffalo, as more often than not, casino developments drain scarce public
safety resources, increase neighborhood petty and violent crime, hurt
local small businesses, and overall, negatively impact residential and
commercial quality of life.
The Association looks
forward to encouraging sustainable business development that will improve
the local economy, the city’s built environment, and residential quality
